Auction item preview for the Downton AirBnB Gala!
Preparations are coming apace for the 2019 gala on October 20 at San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre. Here’s a preview of some of the more spectacular auction items available for bid at the gala:
Tuscany culinary experience for 2 (above): A five-night luxury stay at the the Cortona Resort & Spa (pictured above), located in a Tuscan village inside a spectacular park. Enjoy cooking classes with a local chef as well as a 3-course dinner, massage treatment, unlimited access to the resort’s Wellness Center, and more. Valued at $6000.
Royal Doulton statue of Jack Point(right): this portrait in sculpture of the beloved character from The Yeomen of the Guard was donated by a Lamplighter. It is valued at $3,000.
Doors from Bali (left): these gorgeous, intricate doors are hand-crafted in Bali. In the picture, you can see our intrepid auctioneer standing beside one to show scale. Valued at $5000.
Original recycled iron sculpture (right): In honor of the gala’s “Bloke on Fyre” tribute, Lamplighters offers this unique metal statue. Valued at $3000.
Get close to Princess Ida: We will also be auctioning walk-on roles as well as opportunities to “sit in the pit” for our upcoming production of Princess Ida. These chances to experience the excitement of being part of the show, or to watch the incredible orchestra from a few feet away, are treasured by past participants.
