69th Season Announcement!

This is the 69th Season for Lamplighters Music Theatre, founded in the Fall of 1952. We are continuing our monthly streams for our online subscribers on Patreon, AND we are ramping up live performances!!!

First up, Lamplighters is proud to produce “Welcome back to the Performing Arts” on Sunday, August 22nd, at 1pm in the outdoor Esplanade of Yerba Buena Festival Gardens. This FREE production includes 10 minute segments by 8 companies with really different musical styles:

There will be a limited number of chairs. Patrons are invited to bring low lawn chairs or blankets and a picnic! Our goal is to come back collaboratively with fellow artistic companies, share our talents, and join our audiences in joyous celebration of our return and re-opening!

Lamplighters Music Theatre has become a Bay Area tradition by maintaining our artistic excellence while changing with the times. Lamplighters Music Theatre was founded in 1952 to produce the comic operas of librettist W.S. Gilbert and composer Arthur Sullivan, and is now recognized as one of the world’s pre-eminent Gilbert & Sullivan companies. The Lamplighters’ repertoire includes all the surviving works of these creative geniuses, as well as comic operas and classic musicals by other composers that exemplify their artistic vision.
